Not all victories are in the courtroom in front of a jury or judge. Sometimes it comes down to effective negotiation.

We represented a client who had a serious drug addiction. She was on felony probation (presumptive prison if revoked) and was charged with a new crime. Additionally, due to her addiction, she had not complied with any of her probation conditions. At the onset of the case, the prosecutor said she was out of last chances. After taking time to explain how client’s PTSD contributed to her struggles with drug abuse, we were able to get client into a new drug treatment program with the Courts. Not only did she not get sent to prison, but the Court even agreed to dismiss her new charges if she completed her treatment. She is now in sober living and has her life back on track!
